Hello everyone, dan here from bend sinister. I must apologize that over the summer we got caught up with recording and life and didn’t post any new news or blogs to the site. We did have an exciting summer though playing some festivals in Alberta, An outdoor benefit in Nanaimo called Green Mountain Music Festival, and capped off the summer with LIVE AT SQUAMISH playing with Metric and Stars and Weezer. I myself kept busy working on the score for the comedy feature by Carl Bessai, ‘SISTERS AND BROTHERS’ which premiered at TIFF in september. I was also in Toronto for the screening and did a few solo shows there, as well as many here in Vancouver. Over the fall we did OLIO festival in vancouver playing a roof top party and when we return from Europe we will be playing NOV 25 in downtown vancouver with the DUDES and KYPRIOS for the GREY CUP STREET FESTIVAL.
Anyway, We are very excited for our trip to Europe, even though it is a short tour. We are basically touring Germany after a booking agent reached out to us to book at tour there this summer. We received wonderful funding from MUSIC BC and enough from the shows to cover expenses. So at long last we get to head to Europe for our first tour there, and I hope that if all goes well, it will open the door to more extensive European touring and perhaps representation in the the future.
